I sometimes describe myself as an industrial kid who grew up to admit a love for melody.
These days I'm increasingly all about trying to find a working mixture of strange electronics and harsh noise with classic "easy listening" tunes and harmonies.
I'm influenced by everything from 60s jazz and lounge music, 70s "prog" synth artists and folk-rock, 80s post-punk and synth-pop, 90s hip-hop and IDM and on to contemporary sounds. I still think of myself as an "experimental" musician. But increasingly, what I'm experimenting with is traditional music theory. While still trying not to lose that sense of exploration and making it up as I go along.
